    • There’s an area called Arcadia that’s in both Phoenix and Scottsdale. It’s a large area and there are lots of nice neighborhoods throughout. It goes from 44th to 68th st. and Thomas to Camelback roads. I moved from R.I. in 1982 and have lived near the area since ’86 and just love it. I walk through it all the time.

this website is the finest world wide web site.

    • If I was planning on a move like that, I wouldn’t worry so much about where I moved to first. Any clean community with very little or no graffiti should do just fine while you look for a place more to your liking. I liked the East or Northeast side of Phoenix when I was there but that was several years ago. I have no idea how it has changed if at all. Don’t be nervous. As with anywhere, be careful and good luck.

      • I live in Ahwatukee Foothills (part of phoenix) and i go to the kyrene/tempe high school district. Its one of the better districts in the city, along with chandler and a few others. I’ve never been to boston, but my sister has (she went in february and it SNOWED! sorry just exciting i’ve only seen snow twice in flagstaff and denver )i’ve lived here my whole life (minus the first year in colorado but i don’t really remember that) and the weather is pretty harsh. Right now its exactly 100.4, high 100 (temps courtesy of my macbook) and the air is always really dry. It’s not hard to get heatstroke or dehydration if you’re outside too long, so keep hydrated. I know people who moved here during the summer and hated it because it’s usually around 112 in july/august, pretty hot for them, but they get used to it. Winters here are pretty disappointing, especially when you’re used to a white christmas every year. What’s the point of having to wear a jacket outside when there’s a 1% chance of snow? It depends on where in arizona you’ve been to, because the weather really changes from city to city here. Well, good luck moving!

    wow. great tips!

    • Big difference in the type of people you have in Boston compared to Arizona. Boston is very very liberal and very anti gun. Arizona at least until we have some more outsiders move here wanting to change the lifestyle to like the state they came from is still conservative and pro self defense and gun. Might be best to stay put

Hello there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after reading through some of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely happy I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back frequently!

  28. First of all worry about a job. Get a decent apartment or one of those extended living places. Then find a realtor to help you locate a community near you that you can afford and meets your criteria since buying a home is better than renting. Scottsdale and Cave Creek can be expensive but they are also more upscale than other area. You want to make sure you live reasonably close to your job because public transportation here can be a nightmare you really need a car to get around. We are the fifth largest city in the USA.
